Born on February 27, 1978, in Kankakee, Illinois, United States, Adam Daniel Kinzinger is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for Illinois’s 16th congressional district.
The district encompasses eastern Rockford and the majority of the Rockford suburbs, as well as some exurban areas in the vicinity of Chicago.
He is a member of the Republican Party and is also a lieutenant colonel in the Air National Guard.
Kinzinger was the first person elected to Congress in the year 2010 from the 11th district.
His district was mostly merged with the 16th following the census in 2010 in which Kinzinger was transferred to the 16th following the defeat of the candidate, Don Manzullo, in the Republican primary.
On the 29th of October 2021, Kinzinger declared that he would not be seeking reelection to Congress in 2022.
