Former Accra Great Olympics coach, Joseph Emmanuel Sarpong is giving his backing to former Ghana Black Stars shot-stopper Adam Kwarasey for the position of goalkeeper’s trainer for the senior national team.
In the view of the veteran coach, former Ghana’s number-one goalkeeper has the necessary attributes to take charge of the goalkeeping department of the Black Stars and do a very good job of it.
While speaking on the Super Sports Show on Original FM, coach Sarpong stated that goalkeeper’s coach is a specialized area and Chris Houghton believes Adam Kwarasey can help him to get the best out of the current Black Star’s goalkeepers.
Adam Kwarasey is currently based in Norway and had a time in the recent past being the number one goalkeeper for the Ghana national team.
He, however, lost his position on the national team due to an injury he sustained.
Coach Sarpong’s call comes in the wake of the GFA PRO revealing that Chris Hughton’s technical team will be announced on Monday 20 March.
