Adam Bennett Schiff, a lawyer, author, and politician from the United States, was born on June 22, 1960. He has been a member of Congress since 2001. He has served since 2013 as the Democratic Party’s representative for California’s 28th congressional district.
Schiff is the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence in the United States. He joined the House Appropriations Committee in 2007 and is now on leave from it.
He formerly served on the Appropriations Committee’s State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Subcommittee as well as the Foreign Affairs Committee’s Foreign Affairs Committee.
