Ghana’s legend Asamoah Gyan has tipped Kamaldeen Sulemana to excel at the 2021 African cup of nations in Cameroon.
According to the former Black Stars captain, Sulemana will be the man for the Black Stars in Cameroon, as he’s the Ghanaian player who has impressed him in the tournament so far.
“Everybody is doing well and in top shape and in tournaments you can be a star, but for this current Ghanaian team the man who has really impressed me is Kamaldeen from Rennes,” Gyan told CAFonline.com.
“I hope he continues his form in the AFCON and not forgetting Daniel Amartey, he has done so well in his last few games,” he added.
Ghana is currently on the bottom of the Group C table with just a point, and they need to win the Comoros game by all means to quality for the round of 16 after losing their first game by 1-0 to Morocco and drawing 1-1 to Gabon in their 2nd match.
The Black Stars are seeking to end their 40 years AFCON drought by winning their 5th trophy, after winning their last trophy in 1982 in Libya.
Ghana has been to finals on three times after their last trophy, losing to the Ivory Coast on penalties in 1992 and 2015 and were beaten 1-0 by Egypt in Angola 2010.
