Deputy Ghana Black Stars captain Thomas Partey has arrived in camp in Doha, Qatar ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The Arsenal midfielder arrived in the Ghana camp today, Tuesday, January 4, as the Black Stars enters the final phase of preparations for the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, which they have been tasked to win.

Partey signed off to join his Black Stars teammates with a breathtaking performance in the Premier League match against Manchester City.
Despite the 2-1 lost, the deputy Black Stars captain dominated the midfield in the high-intensity new year clash.
Partey was selected as Man of the match after the game, but wasn’t happy of his team which was leading in the first-half by Bukayo Saka goal, and all of a sudden lost the match.
The Black Stars of Ghana will play a friendly match against the reigning champions of the African Cup, Algeria, as Partey is likely to start the game.
The Black Stars’ first pre-afcon friendly match last week Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Qatar was cancelled due to insufficient players.
Only nine players were at the camp that time due to the extension of reporting date to from December 27 to January 3.
Players who were present at the camp that time includes, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Richard Attah, Daniel Kofi Kyereh, Alexander Djiku, Gideon Mensah, Fatawu Issahaku, David Abagna Sandam, Maxwell Quaye, and Mubarak Wakaso.
The 2021 AFCON will kick off on the 9th of January, as Cameroon as Burkina Faso will be opening the game at 4pm.
Ghana will play their first AFCON match against Morocco on Monday, January 10, before playing Gabon and Comoros respectively in the group stage.
