The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has today, 7th December presented the 2021 TotalEnergies AFCON trophy to host country of this year’s edition, Cameroon.
The presentation of the third and present Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) trophy took place in small celebration at Yaoundé, Cameroon.
The video spotted by Kingaziz.com captured the removal from the AFCON trophy from a box and its position on the TotalEnergies white stand.
The celebration was attended by CAF officials, Cameroonian officials as well as the media who were all present as photos and videos were shot.

The trophy was awarded after it was toured across all 24 nations that are scheduled to participate at the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations, including Ghana.
The TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations trophy was presented in Ghana on the 16th of November 2021 as part a two-day trophy tour around Ghana.
The trophy was on display at the offices of a few specifically selected Total fuel stations as well as some important streets in the capital city of Accra on the 17th of November.
The trophy, which is accompanied by CAF ambassadors while on tour, is competed for by countries that participate in the tournament scheduled to start on January 9 and close on the 6th of February 2022.
The TotalEnergies AFCON is a tournament featuring the top 24 African teams. It is divided into 6 pools with 4 teams. The tournament is played over 52 games.
