Former confidante of President AKufo-Addo, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has joined the #FixTheCountry demo, an action that has amplified his betrayal of the person he once loved and campaigned for.
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah was a strong ally of the President in the lead-up to the 2012 and 2016 elections when Akufo-Addo was calling on Ghanaians to look in his direction and give him the nod to lead the country.
The Happy FM journalist was one of the strong voices that championed the cause of Akufo-Addo and conscientized Ghanaians to vote for the NPP candidate.

Fast-forward, after President Akufo-Adoo took over the affairs of the country as its elected political leader, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah is one of the people who have sort of betrayed the trust and loyalty of the President.
He has lambasted, bashed the current administration describing them as incompetent and incapable to manage the economy and other salient sectors of the country.
Just like Captain Smart campaigned the carried bags of cement to express his allegiance to the New Patriotic Party and has not turned into a thorn in the flesh of the party, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has metamorphosed from a strong party apparatchik into an avid social activist and political crusader.
That is how come he has joined the ongoing #FixTheCountry demo, an action that makes the government unpopular, with much vigour and verve. He was at the Obra Spot, Circle early in the morning to join thousands of Ghanaians who have thronged the street to express their reservations over what they describe as the poor state of Ghana.
How a praise-singing party enthusiast like Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has turned into an overnight political critic clearly speaks volumes about the sentiments of Ghanaians towards the state of affairs.
