Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the upcoming general elections has on Monday pledged to construct the Ibom Deep Seaport, which has been a long waiting project, to boost the state’s economic well-being.
Tinubu stated that when the project is completed, the people of Akwa Ibom would not suffer again, insisting that the state was naturally endowed with water resources that will aid in the construction of a deep seaport.
The former Lagos State governor made the pronouncement in an address during his presidential campaign rally at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
He went on to say that he establish mechanized farming which will lead to the export of food from the state.
Tinubu said because he was responsible for the completion of the Lekki Deep Seaport in Lagos, he will build one for the people of Akwa Ibom.
He concluded by saying that the people of Akwa Ibom and Nigerians at large will not suffer again.
