Born on 1 June 1959 in Hammersmith, London, Alan Charles Wilder was a former member of the electronic band Depeche Mode.
He is a record producer, composer, arranger and musician from England.
He left the band in 1995 having been a member since 1982. His focus since leaving the band has been on Recoil, a musical project which he started in 1986 while he was still with Depeche Mode.
