Alex Tyson Carey is an Australian international cricketer. In the past, he was an Australian rules footballer, he’s now a wicket-keeper in the Australian national team across all forms. In the cricket of his home country, he plays for South Australia and Adelaide Strikers.
He was captain of the Greater Western Sydney Giants in 2010, but after they were incorporated into the Australian Football League in 2012, he was cut out of the squad. He then returned to the state of South Australia, where he began playing domestic cricket.
Carey first made his debut as a specialist batsman of the top order in 2013, but he failed and then dropped. He was moved to lower the batsman’s order, and eventually became wicket-keeper.
