Alexandra Swe Wagner was born on 27 November 1977 in Washington D.C.
She is a journalist and an author. She wrote the book FutureFace: A Family Mystery, an Epic Quest, and the Secret to Belonging and co-hosts The Circus on Showtime.
Wagner doubles as a contributing editor and contributor at The Atlantic and CBS News. She used to anchor a daytime show called Now With Alex Wagner on MSNBC from 2011 to 2015.
She studied art history and literature at Brown University after attending high school at Woodrow Wilson High School.
Wagner worked for the Centre for American Progress as a cultural correspondent. She also worked as the White House correspondent for Politics Daily.
Alex was raised a Roman Catholic and is biracial. She is married with children.
Wagner will be hosting her own show on MSNBC beginning August 2022 after serving as a fill-in host for both The Rachel Maddow Show and All In with Chris Hayes shows.
