Alphonso Boyle Davies was born in Buduburam, Ghana on 2 November 2000. He is a professional football player from Canada.

He plays as a left-wingback for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. Alphonso is also a member of the Canadian Men National football team.

Of the footballers to be born in the 2000s, Alphonso is the first to have played in a Major League Soccer match.

Debeah Davies and Victoria Davies are Alphonso’s father and mother, respectively. The couple were originally from Liberia, but had to flee the Liberian civil war in the 1990s.
