Born in Gold Coast, Queensland, Healy is the daughter of Sandy Healy and Greg Healy, the latter being a member of the Queensland squad. Greg’s younger brother Ian was Australia’s Test wicket-keeper from the late 1980s until 1999, holding the world record for the most Test dismissals.

Another uncle, Ken, also played for Queensland. Despite her family’s cricketing background and watching her uncle represent Australia, Healy initially didn’t develop an interest in cricket until she relocated from Queensland to Sydney during her childhood.
