Amanda Owen is an English shepherdess, writer, and presenter who was born in September 1974, in Huddersfield, United Kingdom.
Initially best known through her Twitter feed as “The Yorkshire Shepherdess,” Amanda has written five books:
The Yorkshire Shepherdess, A Year in the Life of the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Adventures of the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Tales From the Farm, and Celebrating The Seasons.
She appeared on BBC Radio 4’s The Museum of Curiosity in August 2017. Her hypothetical donation to this imaginary museum was a shepherd’s whistle, used to communicate with her sheep dogs.
She was the subject of Radio 4’s On Your Farm on July 14, 2019. She appeared on the podcast Trees A Crowd with David Oakes on 21 October 2019.
Amanda on July 10, 2021, also appeared as the featured guest on Radio 4’s The Poet Laureate Has Gone To His Shed with Simon Armitage.
Amanda Owen Family: Husband, Children, Parents, Siblings
Amanda and Clive Owen were living and farming on a remote farm, Ravenseat Farm, in Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales with their nine children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy.
However, the couple announced their split on June 9, 2022, after 22 years of marriage.
Amanda and Clive Owen are no more together.
Sharing the personal update with her social media followers, Owen wrote: “Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.”
She added: “This hasn’t been easy, but we both believe it’s the right choice for the future of our family.
“Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children.
“We would like to thank everyone for their support and would that the media please respect our privacy as we work through this difficult time.”
Details about Amanda’s parents and siblings remains undisclosed, as our efforts to find out more about them came to no avail.
