Amber Heard’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, has revealed that the actress cannot afford the $10m compensation to be paid to her ex-husband, Depp.
Amber’s lawyer also alleged that the jury had been influenced by social media posts about the defamation suit.
According to the lawyer, she believes the jury couldn’t ignore the many social media posts shared on social media platforms where they (the jury) have accounts.
“How can you not? They went home every night. They have families. The families are on social media,” she told NBC. We had a 10-day break in the middle because of the judicial conference. There’s no way they couldn’t have been influenced by it…”
When asked if her client is in the capacity to pay the $10m awarded compensatory damages to Johnny Depp, she said No!
“Oh no, absolutely not”
However, reports claim that Amber lived luxuriously during the trial in a mansion that costs $22,000 a month with a tennis court, theatre and a spa.
