Amber Heard, Johnny Depp’s ex-wife, has expressed concern that the Pirates of the Caribbean star may take him to court again after winning the defamation claim.
After jurors found that Amber’s op-ed in the Washington Post had defamed Depp’s character and that Amber had done so with malice in mind, Johnny Depp was awarded $10.35 million in compensatory damages and ordered to pay $2 million to his ex-wife.
Despite this, Amber Heard revealed in the newest segment of her Today Show interview with Savannah Guthrie that she is afraid Johnny Depp may pursue her again with the least slip of her tongue.
“I am scared that, no matter what I do, no matter what I say or how I say it, every step that I take will present another opportunity for silencing, which I guess is what a defamation lawsuit is meant to do – it is meant to take your voice,” Amber said.
