Ghana captain Andre Ayew has chosen Senegal star Sadio Mane over Egyptian forward Mohammed Salah as the best African player.
The Al Sadd striker did not mince words when he was asked to select the best among the two Liverpool players.
Mohammed Salah has been in excellent performance in his time at Liverpool and is considered to be as the greatest player on the planet by certain experts.
With six goals in seven Premier League games in the current season, Ayew selected Mane, who scored 4 goals across seven games.
“Mane,” he told Alkass Channel without blinking.

The journalist who was awestruck by the Ghanaian’s decision was again asked whether he’d change his mind, but the 31-year-old was positive.
Andre Ayew is enjoying an excellent year at his time in the Qatari Stars league, having scored 4 goals over five matches with Al Sadd.
He joined the club during the transfer window in summer following having left Swansea City.
