Andre Ayew Scores In Fifth Game In A Row As Al Sadd Thump Al Gharafa In Ten Goal Thriller

Ghana captain Andre Ayew scored on his return to club football to help Al Sadd defeat Al Gharafa in a thrilling game on Sunday, October 17, 2021.

Ayew took off from on the sidelines in the final minute, and complete the cake by scoring a goal in the 89th minute of the match as the Wolves defeated the lions in a 6-4 win in the Thani Bin Jassim Stadium.

The Ghana forward has scored five times in a row for Xavi Hernandez’s team, which are undefeated during the Qatari Stars League.

In a game that was flooded with goals, Al Sadd was the one who broke the deadlock with Algeria attacker Baghdad Bounedjah after seven minutes, after which two goals scored by Saeed Essa as well as Saifeldeen Fadlallah gave them a three-goal advantage after ten minutes.

Al Gharafa mounted a strong fight back, Cheik Diabate scored two goals in addition to Saifedeen’s strike, but Hassan Al Haydos gave Al Sadd the lead.

At the end of the game, Bounedjah extended his side’s advantage, prior to Ahmed Alaaeldin pulled one back to Gharafa.
