Anita Alvarez Swimmer Drowns Video

Anita Alvarez was born on 2 December 1996 in Amherst, New York. She is a Mexican-American artistic and synchronized swimmer. She graduated from Kenmore West Senior High School.

She turned professional after she graduated from High School.

Alvarez competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women’s duet with Mariya Koroleva. She also competed in Kazan at the 2015 World Championships and at the 2014 Junior World Championship.

Anita was a member of the USA Synchronized Swimming National Team. She represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

She was adjudged the USA’s Artistic Swimming Athlete of the Year in 2021 and also USA Synchro Athlete of the Year in 2016 and 2019 with Mariya Koroleva.

At a point, Anita coached intramural swimming in Western New York.

The artistic swimmer was competing in a final of the artistic swimming free solo at the FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary when she fainted in the pool.
