Annor Walker Sacked As Black Galaxies Head Coach – Reports

The local media have reported that Black Galaxies’ head coach, Annor Walker has been sacked.

Annor Walker led the Black Galaxies to qualify for the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.

The team put in impressive performances during the qualification period and pre-tournament friendly matches but it failed to make a mark at the tournament proper.

Ghana began its tournament with a defeat to debutants Madagascar in their group opener. They however came from behind to defeat Sudan 3-1 in their second group game.

The team gained an extra three points due to Morocco pulling out of the tournament.

However, when the Black Galaxies face Niger in the quarterfinals of the competition, they failed to deliver, losing by two unanswered goals.

As a result, there are reports in the local media that the head coach, Annor Walker has been sacked.
The Ghana Football Association is yet to confirm or deny the reports.
