The current prime minister designate of Australia Anthony Norman Albanese is an Australian politician who was born on 2 March 1963 in Sydney.

Since 2019 he has been the leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and the Member of Parliament since 1996 for Grayndler, New South Wales.

He acquired a degree in Economics from the University of Sydney after he had been at St. Mary Cathedral College.

Albanese became a member of the Labor Party while he was still a student. His first appointment was to the Shadow Cabinet by Simon Crean in 2001.

He has a sketch family background. The story has it that his parents met on the voyage from Sydney to Southampton. His father who worked as a steward on the voyage lost contact with Anthony’s mother.

In later years, his mother told him that his father had died in a car crash.

Anthony Albanese’s religious believes have come into question when he opted for a civil oath rather than a religious one during his swearing.

He was raised a catholic yet had said in earlier interviews that he is a non practicing Christian.

Albanese has never stated that he is a Jew. He claims faith is a personal issue.
