Anthony Joshua Parents: Robert Joshua, Yeta Odusanya

Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua was born on 15 October 1989 in Watford, Hertfordshire, England. He is a British professional boxer.
Joshua spent part of his childhood in Nigeria where he attended a boarding school called Mayflower School in Ikenne.

Upon his parents’ divorce, he returned to the United Kingdom to continue his education at Kings Langley Secondary School.
He was very good at football and athletes whiles in school.

Joshua who has a cousin, Ben Ileyemi is a professional boxer and is a two-time former unified world heavyweight champion. He used to hold the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016.

Joshua took to boxing at the age of 18 in 2007, upon the prompting of his cousin, and went on to have a successful amateur career.
He turned professional in mid-2013 and in October of the same year had his first professional bout against Italian Emanuele Leo whom he defeated by technical knockout.

Before taking up boxing full-time, Joshua was a bricklayer.

Robert Joshua and Yeta Odusanya are the parents of heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua.
Robert is half-Nigerian and half-Irish while Yeta is Nigerian.

Yeta and Robert divorced when Anthony was 12 years old.
