APC, PDP Members Dump Parties, Join Accord In Oyo

A considerable number of members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and opposition All Progressives Congress in the Nigerian state of Oyo have jumped ship.

The defecting members of the APC and PDP announced on Sunday that they have left their parties to join the Accord Party in Igbeti in the Olorunsogo local government area of the Oke Ogun geo-political zone.

The members decided to join the Accord Partey because of its programs and policies, during a door-to-door campaign by the Oyo North senatorial district candidate of the Accord Party, Shina Peller.

They were highly hopeful that the mission for the liberation of the zone by the Accord Party will materialize for the good of all.

Peller reaction to the move by the party members described their action as courageous, stressing that posterity will remember them as some of those whose courageous political decision in 2023 helped the liberation mission in the zone.
