Arsenal Star Thomas Partey SACKED From Ghana Camp

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been SACKED from the Ghana camp after he failed to turn up for an international friendly against Morocco on Tuesday.

Black Stars coach “CK” Akonnor has dismissed the 27-year-old from camp after he showed up at the team’s training just two days before the team emplaned to Rabat.

The attitude of Partey, who is the deputy captain of the team has shocked the nation and questions his commitment and leadership role in the team.

Akonnor has wielded the disciplinary axe by asking the former Atletico Madrid midfielder from his team for the international friendly against the Atlas Lions in Rabat on Tuesday.

We reported that Partey was reluctant to join the Ghana camp despite arriving in his native country for holidays.

Partey has been reluctant to join the rest of his colleagues as the team intensify preparations for the double friendly games Morocco and Ivory Coast.

Several members of the squad have joined the squad after Al-Fayha star Samuel Owusu joined  hours after  arriving in the West African nation.

It’s also remarkably striking that several global top stars who enjoyed successful campaigns in Europe have joined their respective national team camps.

Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Mo Salah have joined Senegal and Egypt squad respectively despite enjoying a relatively successful campaigns in England.

However, there is no show from the Ghana vice-captain as he is yet as he only showed his face in Cape Coast amid fears of being yanked from the team.

Captain Andre Ayew, who was handed some time off due to his involvement in the English Championship play-offs is joined the rest of his colleagues for the trip.

The four-time African Champions are billed to play Morocco in Rabat on June 8 and before facing Ivory Coast on June 12 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
