Judd looks different after her surgery. The American actress, political activist, and humanitarian was seriously injured in February 2022 after a catastrophic fall in a rain forest in Congo.

She had spoken openly about the horrible episode in which she was on the verge of losing her leg after she shattered her right leg in four places.

Judd said that she barely survived the 55-hour rescue and was in immense pain.

“I don’t know how the mind and the body and the soul come together to manage to endure the unendurable,” she said.

“I bit a stick, I screamed, I howled, I convulsed. I never did pass out, I wished that I could.”

“I was in hospital in South Africa about nine days. And then I was medevaced to Tennessee. But when I got to South Africa my leg didn’t have a pulse, and I was hemorrhaging, and if I had been medevaced to Europe I would’ve bled to death,” she told Kate Roberts in an interview.

Following the accident, the actress’ face was swollen today, possibly due to prednisone.

Judd had a surgery, and she is looking different after the surgery.

Ashley Judd Humanitarian Work

Over the past decade, Juddd’s humanitarian efforts have been focused on gender equality as well as the health of sexual and reproductive organs and rights of women as well as girls.

She was named as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNFPA in 2016, which is the United Nations agency charged with sexual and reproductive health (among other things).

As of May 2018, she had visited UNFPA’s programs for women and girls affected by the humanitarian crisis within Jordan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Bangladesh as well as its work for development with India and Sri Lanka.
