Barbara Stamm, former Deputy Minister-President of Bavaria has died.
Stamm was born to a deaf mother and raised by an alcoholic stepfather; she had a difficult childhood.
She was at a point in time in foster care and also lived in an orphanage.
In spite of all the difficulties she faced in her childhood, Barbara rose to the high office of Bavarian State President.
She was 77.
Barbara died in her hometown of Würzburg on Wednesday 5 October 2022.
