Ace Ghanaian broadcaster and Master of Ceremonies, Kafui Dey has called on Ghanaian music artists to make social issues a major theme of their songs so that they can help reform and transform the ailing Ghanaian society.
He is of the opinion that songs should not be only themed on money, alcohol, and sex but must also be about social challenges and their solutions.
Kafui Dey could not fathom why most musicians do not have an interest in making songs to raise awareness of galamsey and other societal challenges.
Speaking in an interview with Rainbow Radio’s Daniel Dadson, he said that the psyche of an individual is greatly affected by what they listen to, which is why some countries have policies that regulate what comes and goes out of their country, but the reverse is the case with Ghana.
The famous MC said it is easy to know the direction a nation is heading towards just by looking at where its young people are headed.
He expressed his desire to see more consciousness from Ghanaian musicians
