Supporters of the Chelsea Football Club in Ghana have honoured their winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi, at a ceremony in Accra as they gifted him a traditional stool.
The 20-year-old, born in London to Ghanaian parents, touch down in Accra, Ghana last week, just three days after Chelsea’s success in Europe, and he was received upon arrival by Ghanaian musician and also a Chelsea fan King Promise.
As part of his rounds for his vacation, the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League winner met with the Chelsea Supporters Club of Ghana, and the meeting ended being an awards ceremony with the supporters gifting the winger a traditional stool, presented to him by the president of the Chelsea Supporters union, David Akwasi Amofah.
The citation on the stool read; “From the Chelsea Supporters Club of Ghana to Callum Hudson Odoi, for being an outstanding player for Chelsea Football Club.”
