Goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen has been ruled out of Ghana’s doubleheader against Zimbabwe due to injury.
The Belgium-based shot-stopper is struggling with hernia and has been excused from the crucial games.
Nurudeen was handed debut call-up last month for the first two World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa.
But he played no part as Ghana beat Ethiopia 1-0 and lost by a similar scoreline in Johannesburg three days later.
Nurudeen is not the only goalkeeper injured as first-choice goalie Richard Ofori is out nursing a thigh injury.
In their absence, Milovan Rajevac has invited Lawrence Ati- Zigi (FC St. Gallen), Richard Atta (Hearts of Oak), Ibrahim Danlad, (Asante Kotoko) and Jojo Wallocott (Swindon Town).
The Black Stars will take on the Warriors on Saturday, October 12 at the Cape Coast stadium on matchday three of the qualifiers before traveling to Harare three days later for the reverse fixture.
