Benjamin Géza Affleck is an American actor and director. He was born on August 15, 1972. When he was younger, he made his acting debut as the lead in the PBS children’s program The Voyage of the Mimi.

Affleck rose to prominence after co-writing and co-starring in the 1997 film Good Will Hunting, which won the Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, with his boyhood friend Matt Damon. He subsequently began to establish himself as one of the best directors in Hollywood.
