The late Bill Plant was born on 14 January 1938 in Chicago, Illinois.
He had his education at Loyola Academy and Loyola University, while still studying in college he worked as a news reader for a local radio station.
Plante would go on to land a job at CBS News and rose to become its senior White House correspondent for over three decades.
He worked as a journalist for over 50 years.
Plante died on 28 September 2022 at age of 84.
