Black Stars Arrive In Ghana After Holding Angola In Luanda

The entourage of the Black Stars has landed in Ghana after earning a crucial away in the second leg of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Angola.

The Black Stars went into Monday’s game with a home win at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium; they managed to come away from Luanda with a point at the 11 November Stadium on matchday four.

Angola took the lead on the day through a Lucas Joao penalty kick which was canceled by an Osman Bukari strike at the latter stages of the match.

The team arrived in Ghana early hours of Tuesday.

The Black Stars players are due to return to their various club sides to continue with the remainder of the 2022/23 football season.

Ghana remains at the top of the group with eight points, followed by the Central African Republic, who moved to second after back-to-back wins over Madagascar.

Angola has dropped to third place with five points, while Madagascar is out of the race for qualification.
