Black Stars Coach Milovan Rajevac Insists He Won’t Tolerate Interference In His Call-Ups

New Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac has said he will not tolerate interference when it comes to player invitations.

The previous head coach Charles Akonnor was criticised after reports emerged that he doesn’t have the final say regarding call-ups.

But, the reports were denied by GFA president, Kurt Okraku who said invitations are finalised via laid down processes and not enforced on the head coach.

Speaking at his unveiling on Friday, Rajevac said he is open to suggestions, but the final decision will be made by him.

“I’m ready to share ideas with management on call-ups to the national team but when it comes to the final decision, I will be the one to do that,” Rajevac told the media.

Rajevac is back in charge of the national team 11 years after his departure.

In his first spell, Rajevac guided Ghana to the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations final and months later reached the World Cup quarter-finals.
