Black Stars Hold Recovery Training Session After Beating Angola

The Black Stars of Ghana have begun earnest preparations for the second leg of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament against Angola.

Ghana played host to the Palancas Negras of Angola in the Group E table-topping match on Thursday, 23 March.

The Black Stars of Ghana beat their South African counterparts by a narrow 1-0 scoreline at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The match was hard fought with both sides canceling each other out until the dying embers of the game.

Ghana’s goal came in the 96th minute through substitute Antoine Semenyo who fired into the goal after a rebound.
The Black Stars did not rest on its oars and immediately turned their attention to the fixture coming off on Monday.

The head coach, Chris Hughton, and his team took the team through a recovery session on Friday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The team will this weekend travel to Angola for the upcoming clash on Monday, March 27.
