Ahead of the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, the Black Stars of Ghana held their first training session today, December 27, in Doha with 9 players.
Players who were present at the training includes, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Richard Attah, Daniel Kofi Kyereh, Alexander Djiku, Gideon Mensah, Fatawu Issahaku, David Abagna Sandam, Maxwell Quaye, and Mubarak Wakaso.
Thomas Teye Partey, Jordan Ayew, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Joojo Wollacott, Abdul Rahman Baba, and Andy Yiadom will join their teammates from January 3, after CAF granted the request of European Club Association and World Leagues Forum to give European players extra days before they join their respective camps.
And CAF has informed the various countries to expect the players to their camping no later than January 3, 2022.
The Black Stars will play three international friendly matches in Qatar to give Coach Milovan Rajevac the opportunity to assess his squad before departing to Cameroon for the AFCON 2021 tournament.
