Black Stars To Camp In Qatar For Pre-AFCON Preparation

The Black Stars of Ghana will camp in Qatar in the lead up to 2021’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in the coming year.

Coach Milovan Rajevac is expected to select his team in the coming weeks, prior to beginning their training tour to the United Arab Emirates.

The team will be spending the next two weeks in Qatar with a string of friendly matches before heading to Cameroon in January to play the African Cup.

The Black Stars will engage Algeria as well as two other nations in friendly games.

Ghana is looking to win their 5th Africa Cup of Nations after winning the last in 1982. However, they were close three times.

The four-time champions are into Group C in the competition along with North African giants Morocco, Gabon, and Comoros Island.

The Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon begins on the 9th of January 2022, and will end on the 6th of February.
