Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson was born on 19 June 1964 in New York City.
He is the current prime minister of the United Kingdom and leader of the Conservative Party. He served as Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and mayor of London (2008 to 2016).
Since 2015 he has represented Uxbridge and South Ruislip as a Member of Parliament (MP).
He attended Balliol College, Oxford, where he read Classics. Johnson was the president of the Oxford Union in 1986.
Boris worked at The Daily Telegraph as its Brussels correspondent and political columnist from 1989. From 1999 to 2005 he was the editor of The Spectator.
He was confirmed into the Church of England after being baptized a Catholic.
Boris has reportedly said he is not a serious practicing Christian.
