Breaking News: Court Remands Shatta Wale For A Week

The Accra High Court has remanded dancehall artist Shatta Wale for a week, including other 3 people.

Shatta Wale was arrested on October 18, a day after his birthday, for faking a gunshot, and he was sent to the Accra High Court today, October 21.

The post by the Ghana Police on their official Facebook page reads;

Update: A court in Accra has today Thursday, 21st October, 2021, remanded Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly referred to as Shatta Wale and three others into police custody for a week.
They were remanded following a request by the police for his continued detention due to ongoing investigations on his alleged involvement in the publication of false information with the intention to cause fear and panic.
Impartial investigations into the matter shall continue.
