Tensions between the two of Ghana’s most-known gospel artists Ernest Opoku and Brother Sammy reached a fever pitch on the night of Friday 24 March when they two clashed in Kumasi.
The two musicians have been at each other’s throats for a while now, with Ernest Opoku accusing Brother Sammy of having belittled him in an interview where the latter referred to him as a “small boy”.
Ernest Opoku stated in a recent interview with Agyenkwa FM that Brother Sammy will have to publicly apologize to him before he can have anything to do with him, especially for him attending any of his programs. Until the said interview, Opoku had been quiet about the situation.
Brother Sammy who also felt challenged by Ernest Opoku’s words confronted him when they met in Kumasi; this quickly escalated with Opoku physically charging toward Sammy.
The two gospel artists had to be kept apart from each other by bystanders to quench what would have resulted in fisticuffs between the two.
