Blessed Godsbrain Smart, popularly known as Captain Smart, has been granted bail after he was arrested due to his comments on radio.
The Onua FM/TV morning show host was allegedly arrested due to his criticism of Akufo Addo administration, as well as other prominent personalities in the country over what he says is their silence on the governmen.
His arrest was announced by the Ghana police in a statement shared on their official Facebook handle.
Parts of the police statement reads;
“He was arrested following some unsavoury pronouncements that hinge on peace and security. He has been cautioned on the offence of offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace as provided under section 207 of the Criminal Act, 1960 (Act 29). He is presently in Police custody assisting the investigations.”
Well, the good news is that Captain Smart has been granted bail, and he made a video after his bail, telling Ghanains that he will be live on Onua TV/FM tomorrow, December 2.
