One of the most notable voices in the world of music is that of country singer Carrie Underwood.
She was the winner of the fourth season of the American Idol reality show in 2005. This fete catapulted her into stardom, and she did well by capitalizing on the exposure the platform gave.
Carrie was born March 10, 1983, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. At age 14 Carrie went to audition for Capital Records on the instance of an admirer.
The people at Capital Records were on the verge of awarding her a recording contract in 1996, but pulled out due to managerial changes in the company.
She has a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. Miss Underwood has the enviable record of being the most awarded country music artist of all time.
Some of her most well known songs include; “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Because He Lives”.

Carrie and her two sisters were raised on their parents’ farm in the rural town of Checotah. The couple have been married for more than 50 years. There are no much public information on her parents.
