Central University Lecturer Kicks Against Milovan Rajevac’s Appointment As Black Stars Coach

A university lecturer shared his thoughts on becomes the next Black Stars head coach, kicking against the appointment of Serbian Milovan Rajevac.

Rajevac has agreed a deal with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and will be unveiled as Black Stars on Friday.

But ahead of his unveiling, Dr Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah, Governance Lecturer at the Central University, says Rajevac’s coming back is a complete waste.

“We were here in this country and we went for this coach; his face doesn’t even inspire hope. When we brought him, he came to meet already good players.

He didn’t do any proper coaching; the players were already good and did their best for us to qualify for the world cup. He didn’t even bid us goodbye when he left us,” he said on Peace FM.

He added that ”GFA is not an individual’s property. We joke too much with things in Ghana. We made it like it belongs to some group of people; football people’.”

“How many times have we appointed a Ghanaian coach and how much do we give them?”, he further asked.

Rajevac is succeeding Ghanaian Charles Akonnor who after 10 games was shown the exit.
