Famous Filipino actress, Comedian, Singer, and TV Host, Cherie Gil, has passed away at the age of 59.

Born on May 12, 1963, in Manila, Philippines, With a career spanning nearly 50 years, Cherie was dubbed the “La Primera Contravida” for her acting prowess which landed her in numerous antagonistic roles.

Cherie is a FAMAS Award winner, a recipient of Ani ng Dangal by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and a Hall of Famer at the Metro Manila Film Festival in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Cherie Gil passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 59. She died after a battle with brain cancer, according to talent manager Annabelle Rama.

Cherie went bald before her death, which causes a lot of stir.
