Ghana’s newly appointed senior national team head coach, Chris Hughton, will be officially unveiled today.
Hughton is replacing former head coach Otto Addo who currently works as a talent development coach at Borussia Dortmund. Addo left the Black Stars job after the team exited the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The unveiling will take place in Kumasi later today at SG Mall, Ayigya at 10:00 am.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced that the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager will be assisted by Didi Dramani and George Boateng.
Chris Hughton’s contract terms will be disclosed by the FA at his unveiling.
The coach has earlier worked with the Black Stars in the capacity of technical advisor to the team under coach Otto Addo during the World Cup playoff against the super eagles of Nigeria.
Hughton will take charge of his first match as Black Stars’ head coach in the first leg of the doubleheader 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Angola in Kumasi.
Ghana is at joint top of Group E alongside Angola with both teams with four points after two games.
