Chris Hughton’s Unveiling As Black Stars Coach Has Been Delayed Due To The Death Of His Father – GFA Reveals

According to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) the official unveiling of the new Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton has been delayed due to the death of Hughton’s father.

Chris Hughton was announced as the new head coach of the Ghana Black Stars a fortnight ago.

He comes in to replace former coach Otto Addo who left for Borussia Dortmund after the Black Stars’ early exit from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The new Black Stars head coach is expected to be officially presented to the public before March.

The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum in an interview revealed that the delay in the unveiling of the new Ghana head coach was due to the death of his father but is now expected in the country next week.

According to Henry, the unveiling ceremony of Ghana’s coaches, and the squad announcements for the Angola doubleheader are also expected to be made.
