Christopher Whitelaw Pine was born on 26 August 1980 in Los Angeles, California. He is an American actor.
Pine had his high school education at the Oakwood School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of California, Berkeley where he became a member of the UC Berkeley Theater Department.
He attended the Williamstown Theatre Festival after graduating from UC Berkeley; he also studied at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
In 2003, Pine had his first acting role in an episode of ER; he also featured in episodes of The Guardian and CSI: Miami. He has gone on to feature in films such as The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, and Hell or High Water among many others.
Pine has won the Scream Award for Best Actor in a Science Fiction Movie or TV Show for his role in Star Trek and several awards and nominations.
