Stalford was born in the Annadale Flats in south Belfast and attended nearby Wellington College Belfast and Queen’s University Belfast. After graduating, he worked at the European office of Jim Allister three days a week, and in the office of Peter Weir, a politician, two days per week. Then he joined the DUP press office for six years before then to the policy department.
He was elected to the Belfast City Council IN 2005, representing the Laganbank area. At the 2014 local elections, Laganbank was abolished, and he was elected again for the Balmoral region.
Stalford was the Chief Sheriff in Belfast in the year 2010. He was just 27 years old when he took office. Belfast Telegraph described him as the youngest High Sheriff of Belfast. He was elected in the role of Lord Mayor Deputy during the 2013-14 year.
In 2008, he was chosen for the position of chairman in the Belfast District Policing Partnership. In 2016, at the Northern Ireland Assembly election, he was among two DUP candidates who were elected from South Belfast.
He was born on January 17, 1983, in Belfast, United Kingdom, and died on February 20, 2022.
