Chulpan Khamatova Parents: Meet Nail Khamatov And Marina Galimullovna Khamatova, the father and mother of the Russian actress.

Chulpan Nailevna Khamatova PAR is a Russian film, theater, and TV actress of Volga Tatar origin. Her name, Chulpan, means “morning star” in Tatar.

Khamatova has appeared in many German-language films, as well as numerous Russian feature films and TV series.

Her international fame is due to her role in Good Bye, Lenin! (2003), as Lara, the girlfriend of the main character and his mother’s nurse.

She was on the six-person jury that was led by Catherine Deneuve, at the Venice Film Festival in 2006.

She took part and become winner of the Channel One figure skating competition Ice Age in 2007 together with Roman Kostomarov (professional ice dancer).

Khamatova was born on October 1, 1975, in Kazan, Tatar ASSR, Soviet Union (now Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia).

Chulpan Khamatova Parents: Meet Nail Khamatov & Marina Khamatova

Nail Khamatov and Marina Khamatova are her parents, they are both engineers. She has a younger brother who is also an actor called Shamil Nailevich Khamatov.

When she was a kid, she was involved in figure skating. From the eighth grade, she attended the mathematics school at the Kazan Federal University. She was admitted at the Kazan State Finance and Economics Institute, but later changed her mind and enrolled in Kazan Theater School.
