Ghanaian winger Kamal Sowah has expressed delight in making his UEFA Champions League debut for Club Brugge.
The 21-year-old started and lasted 90 minutes for the Belgium champions, who shocked French giants Paris Saint Germain at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
Sowah impressed as a PSG team with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar failed to beat Club Brugge.
“What a performance from the boys last night!!! Couldn’t be happier to make my UEFA Champions League debut in front of our fans. Big point won, and now we focus on the next,” he wrote.
Club Brugge will next face Charleroi in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League, and their next game in the Champions League is against RB Liepzig.
Meanwhile, Brugge manager Philippe Clement has been full of praise for the Ghanaian attacker.
“I am very proud of my players, they have played a very strong match physically and mentally. We start well, but then swallow a goal in the fifteen minutes. What makes me especially satisfied is the reaction of my players,” said the manager after the game.
“Lang, De Ketelaere, Vanaken, Sowah, … I actually have to go through the entire list of players. You can only achieve such a performance if everyone is top notch, that was the case,” he added.
Sowah joined Club Brugge from English side Leicester City in the summer transfer window.
