Comic Artist Ian Kennedy Cause Of Death: Veteran British artist Ian Kennedy has died at age 89, and his death came as a shock to his family and friends.
The admirers of his work find it difficult to accept his passing. The man was an inspiration for young artists and influenced many people’s careers.
Kennedy was a British artist who was employed by The D. C. Thomson & Co. Ltd, and later, for Amalgamated Press. Kennedy was born on September 22, 1932,in Dundee, United Kingdom, and passed away at age 89 on Monday, February 7, 2022.
He attended Clepington Primary School and then Morgan Academy in Dundee. Kennedy was fortunate enough to be employed as an illustrator by D. C. Thomson & Co. after school. He was an apprentice artist in the department of art.
After some time on the field, he began to concentrate on science fiction comics. He was often creating works in the IPC’s 2000AD, as well as Star-Lord. Kennedy worked until retirement, after which he returned to draw cover designs and feature stories in Commando Comics until his death.
